David Arquette’s The Tripper DVD Details

I have to admit, I was looking forward to David Arquette’s stab at horror-comedy with the Slasher flick “The Tripper”, which I think is also his feature film directorial debut. The guys at Bloody-Disgusting has news from Fox Home Video that “The Tripper” will be heading straight-to-DVD as we all expected, and will be arriving at your local Blockbusters on October 23. The film, about a Ronald Reagan mask wearing maniac with an ax that chops up some hippie scum in a wilderness concert, seems to have that combination of comedy, gore, and good fun that genre fans will surely get a kick out of.

I mean, listen to this synopsis:

A group of free-love hippies attend an outdoor music and camping festival only to find themselves stalked by a maniac with a Ronald Reagan fixation and his killer dog, Nancy.

Fun times, right?

“The Tripper” stars Jaime King, Thomas Jane, Paul Reubens, Lukas Haas, Balthazar Getty, and is directed by David Arquette.
