David Cholewa’s horror flick “Dead Shadows” looks pretty good. With all of the asteroids and what-not that have been rocketing past the earth as of late, the flick is certainly showing up at just the right time. The folks at Shout! Factory are releasing the movie here in the States later this year. Expect this thing to arrive on a variety of home video formats, including VOD. Unfortunately, an exact date has been hammered down as of this writing. Darn it all.
This synopsis will help set the proverbial stage:
“Dead Shadows” tells the terrifying story of a young man, named Chris, whose parents were brutally killed 11 years ago, on the same day that Halley’s comet could be seen from earth. Tonight, a new comet is appearing and everyone in his building are getting ready for a party to celebrate the event. There’s even an apocalypse theory going around. As the night falls, Chris discovers that people are starting to act strange – and it seems to somehow be connected to the comet. They are becoming disoriented and violent and it doesn’t take long before they begin to mutate into something far beyond this world. In a fight for survival, Chris tries to escape from his building with the help of a gun taunting tenant named John — but will they make it out alive?
“Dead Shadows” — not to be confused with the Tim Burton stinker Dark Shadows — stars Fabian Wolfrom, Blandine Marmigère, John Fallon, and Rurik Salle. Should you wish to learn more about the flick, check out the trailer and the poster embedded below.
