David Zayas and Brittany Murphy are Expendables

David Zayas (pictured, left) is a bad, bad man. He was a bad man on Dexter, and he’s now a badder man on the big screen in Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables”, where Zayas has been cast as South American dictator Garza, who Stallone and crew are sent down south to take down. Brittany Murphy (pictured, below), meanwhile, has been cast in the movie as the girlfriend of Mickey Rourke’s character, an arms dealer who sells guns to Stallone’s crew.

Apparently Murphy’s role is that of a singer, so Murphy will have to sing. This, according to THR, is somehow relevant to plot. I guess.

“The Expendables”, meanwhile, will star muscleheads Stallone, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture. There is apparently no room for a female musclehead in the group, because every woman who has been cast in the movie is playing someone’s girlfriend. I guess it beats playing someone’s abused mistress. Right?
