Death Race Poster is Death Race-y

You’ve already seen the trailer, and your reaction probably fell into one of two categories: If you’re one of those fanboys who absolutely despise Paul WS Anderson, then you hated it because, well, you’re hopeless; but if you don’t grind your teeth at the name Paul WS Anderson, then you probably thought the movie would make decent Sunday night entertainment at the dollar theater with that date you sorta like, but not enough to pay full price to get into her pants. Now comes the poster for “Death Race”. It’s very death racey and dangerous looking. And is it me, or does Jason Statham look the same in every movie poster? I swear, he has that exact same amount of facial hair on every movie poster he’s on.
Anyways.
Ex-con Jensen Ames (Statham) is forced by the warden of a notorious prison (Allen) to compete in our post-industrial world’s most popular sport: a car race in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory.
The race begins August 22.

It doesn’t look Death Racey to me, at least not in comparison to the original. What’s so hopeless about hating a shitty director anyways?It seperates those with good taste from bad.
This is going to be another bad movie for sure,wafer thin story and Jason Statham playing as “Jason Statham”.He has the same role whatever movie he`s in,this trend has gone beyond boring and is now wandering into annoying country.The way he pick movies can`t possible give him a fulfilling experience as an actor,to never move forward and grow as an actor.Oh well,not even the R rating isn`t going to save this train wreck.Most of the users on this site could have come up with a better story.
For the love of God:STOP THE REMAKES.
