For the last 5 years I’ve had the privilege to write reviews and articles as well as attend New York Comic-Con for BeyondHollywood.com, fulfilling some long awaited goals, and moving closer to achieving my dreams. I’ve tried to bring you with me to the best of my abilities, and your enthusiasm and support kept me going even when I was overwhelmed and felt like just giving in. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, and sadly BH is one of them as well.
I won’t go into details, that’s for the Master Of Ceremonies, Nix to take care of. But I will give you a best of BH’s last trip to NY Comic-Con courtesy of yours truly, Brian “Dedpool” Daniel. These are the best of the 670 pictures I took this year. There are tons of sites with NY Comic-Con pics, but they don’t have Dedpool!
But before I raise the curtain one last time, I want to say thank you. First Thank You to Nix, for allowing me the opportunity to share my love for all things geek with like-minded people, and to get my writing out into the world. Before this I was just the Geek Information Hub for my friends, whether they wanted it or not. Through BH I’ve made friends, and contacts and more. I’ve had experiences (both on the site and because of it) that I will cherish forever. I’ve often said that next to the birth of my daughter, writing for BH and all that comes with it has been the best thing to happen to me, and I mean it. I want to thank all the readers, especially the dedicated ones that kept coming back to read more, that actually encouraged me to write when I was just waiting to see if someone would beat me to it. You guys kept the comments going with some great discussions that kept me smiling, laughing and thinking. It’s because of you that I kept on my review game, and it’s because of you that I really wrote them (that and cause I just want the world to know how cool stuff is!) Thank You to the Trolls that started childish arguments and such, for you showed me how to not get caught in your sneaky traps of Trolldom. And finally Thank You to all the geeks that start entertainment sites like this, for without them we wouldn’t have had the awesomeness that is BH!!
So with all that mushy stuff out the way, I present to you the best of NYComic-Con ’14 featuring ME! It’s been a great ride!
