Denzel Washington in Flight (2012) Movie Image

For a guy who gets liquored up before a flight, Denzel Washington’s character in “Flight” sure knows how to fly a plane. Then again, he did land said plane belly up, so you know, that might have something to do with it. Check out a new 90-second TV spot for “Flight”, about an unlikely hero who saves the day. You’d think that would get him some leeway, but nope. Being a hero sucks sometimes, apparently.

In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault, and what really happened on that plane?

Also starring James Badge Dale, John Goodman, Don Cheadle, Kelly Reilly, Bruce Greenwood, Melissa Leo, Nadine Velazquez, Rhoda Griffis, Tamara Tunie, Brian Geraghty, Garcelle Beauvais, and directed by Robert Zemeckis.

“Flight” takes off November 2, 2012.
