Denzel Washington Takes Flight in, Well, Flight Trailer

Apparently sometime after shooting people in “Safe House” and preparing to shoot people in “2 Guns”, Denzel Washington found time to crash a plane in a new film for director Robert Zemeckis. That film would be “Flight”, and although the official synopsis wants you to think it’s an “action-packed mystery thriller”, it’s mostly just a dramatic mystery, and I’m not sure if there’s really all that much of a mystery left after this trailer. Nonetheless, “Flight” looks pretty darn good. Unless, of course, you’re scared of flying, in which case you should probably just avoid this one. That shot of the plane coming down upside-down might give you nightmares, and I really don’t want to be responsible for that.

In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault, and what really happened on that plane?

Starring Denzel Washington, James Badge Dale, John Goodman, Don Cheadle, Kelly Reilly, Bruce Greenwood, Melissa Leo, Nadine Velazquez, Rhoda Griffis, Tamara Tunie, Brian Geraghty, Garcelle Beauvais, and directed by Robert Zemeckis.

Denzel takes flight November 2, 2012.
