Denzel Washington Takes off in 3 Clips from Flight

Denzel Washington in Flight (2012) Movie Image

I think Denzel Washington will continue to play the hero for years to come. I mean, the guy just has that “Don’t worry, I’m gonna save you” thing about him that you can’t deny. Like Eastwood, I suspect he’ll be saving the day for decades more. Until he does grow old and start talking to empty chairs at political conventions, check out three clips from Washington’s latest, the drama “Flight”, which I have to admit is very intriguing, though the synopsis below promising an “action-packed mystery thriller” sounds a tad like oversell. I doubt if there is a whole lot of “action-packed” stuff happening in this movie, but plenty of mystery and thriller from the looks of it.

In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault, and what really happened on that plane?

Also starring James Badge Dale, John Goodman, Don Cheadle, Kelly Reilly, Bruce Greenwood, Melissa Leo, Nadine Velazquez, Rhoda Griffis, Tamara Tunie, Brian Geraghty, Garcelle Beauvais, and directed by Robert Zemeckis.

Crashing into theaters November 2, 2012.
