Denzel Washington Will Bust You Up Good in First The Equalizer Trailer

Denzel Washington in The Equalizer (2014) Movie Image

You do not want to mess with Denzel Washington when he re-teams with Antoine Fuqua in “The Equalizer,” a big-screen adaptation of the ’80s TV show about a badass English guy in America who fights for the little guy. This version features a badass American guy in the role, which is ironic, I thought Brits got all the American roles and not the other way around these days?

Anyways, take a gander at the first trailer for “The Equalizer,” where Denzel busts heads and kicks ass. Sure, he’s a little older and slower these days, but no one’s perfect.

A former black ops commando who faked his death for a quiet life in Boston comes out of his retirement to rescue a young girl and finds himself face to face with Russian gangsters.

Starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Denzel Washington, Melissa Leo, Marton Csokas, Bill Pullman, Haley Bennett, Vladimir Kulich, and Johnny Messner.

Unretiring this September 26th.

Truly BADASS!!! I can’t wait for this. And this really makes me sad about the missed opportunity to have Denzel as Luthor. Watching this, makes me sure he would’ve rocked the part. That same calm, cold demeanor applied to business and Superman would’ve been a treat. But this looks like a lot of fun.

Agreed. And what? Denzel as Luthor? Never heard of that till now. THAT would have been amazing!

Yeah there was talk of it, but it was never founded in anything. But I agree. he would’ve really done something cool with it. But I guess making Perry AND Lex black would’ve been too much. I don’t have an issue with race bending as long as they play the part well.
