Their just trying to keep a close knit continuity unlike the DC "justice League" movie that seems to be steaming ahead without any care about tying it all together. As such, only Marvel has creative control, while the others are just a "get it out there" arm, thus have no say in the movies' content? Both are being released by Paramount and Universal, respectively. What makes me wonder is why "Thunderbolt" Ross can be in "Iron Man," or vice versa, but they cannot use The Kingpin on "The Spectacular Spider-Man" cartoon because Daredevil's rights are tied up elsewhere.
