and season 9 and 10 of stargate are some of the best in all the years of the show.

definitely the ori are the most powerful. and great special/FX too! the Ori space battles are awesome!!!

And wow! the most beautiful girl ever with the character of Adria the Orici!

and since they are ascended beings they cant be hurt with guns or normal weapons so the team had to create new inventive ways to fight them which added new excitement to the programme which I enjoy a lot!

and if it were a battle between the ori and some other enemies from other fictitious shows and things, like ori versus cylons, or ori versus some boa python thing like in those other sci fi low budget things, or ori versus wraith, or ori versus genii, or ori versus romulans, i think the ori are so powerful that the ori could just wave their pinky finger and knock any one of them away. or make them all die of a disease. — whats a cylon going to do to an ori, pose as a human at them? loll. or shoot at them with a gun? ori could crush a cylon. and anyone with a gun the bullets stop in mid-air! even toward a prior. and the ori themselves are ascended. non-corporeal. a robot cylon cant do anything to it. and whats a python going to do? bite them in the shin? hahaha. they could crush it with the wave of a staff. Or burn the thing to a crisp.

ori have intelligence, not like some dumb monster pterodactyl movie thing. they can assume any form, they can turn those that were just your friends a minute ago to enemies now on their side, they can turn whole planets against you, they have ships, they have technology, they can get inside your mind, they can cause plagues, become fire, manipulate people with words, fire at you with weapons, and have one of the most beautiful women Moreena Baccarin in a show ever!

there’s just so many things about the ori to mention! things that make them a good villain, that is. the ori seriously kickass!

AND THANK GOD FOR ENEMIES IN SHOWS THAT ARE NOT MORE DUMB VAMPIRE STUFF! VAMPIRES HAVE BEEN USED SO MUCH ITS BORING ALREADY! Blade, Blade II, Blade the Series, The Lost Boys, Dracula, Blacula, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Interview with a Vampire, Van Helsing, Blood Ties, Forever Knight, Bloodsuckers, Castle of Blood, there’s even a movie with Dracula’s dog, and Dracula’s Baby, Dracula’s wedding day, Dracula in outer space, Hercules versus the vampires, I was a teenage vampire, interview with a vampire, Mama Dracula, Nightwing, Nosferatu, vampire circus clowns, Vampire Cop, Vampire Hookers, Vampire Vixens from Venus, Vampire Time Travelers, Vampire Trailer Park, and Zoltan, Hound of Dracula…come ON directors, can’t you think up a new creature or enemy of some sort like SG-1 did? Vampires so old already. This vampire thing is so overused so many times, getting sick of them already.

So I will rather watch the the ori on stargate any day! Thank god for SG-1! And I’ll take stargate any day over half of this other garbage thats on tv nowadays. Its the best thing on, compared to half the other lame shows out there. I would definitely want it to continue for 10 more years. without stargate, its going to be a sad day for years to come. Remember theres no more BSG last season for that, no more new Star Treks, no more farscape, no more firefly, all well have is stupid giant rubber alligator things or reality shows and that who wants to be a superhero stupid waste of time programming.

I will buy the DVD movies but gimme back sg-1 dammit!

The shows with things such as class reunions and such are just mundane. They are still ok just because they are Stargate and will always be fun to watch too, but the ones with things like some high-school reunion might as well be an episode of SAVED BY THE BELL or The A-TEAM or Charlies Angels or Dukes of Hazzard or something. There’s hardly any science fiction in it, less imagination, no real reason for aliens, not much in terms of special effects, no spaceships, no great battles, no mind twists. It could be just another cop show or rush hour 3, or something. The ori are a completely different story. They’ve build a huge phonomenal stargate that is so huge that it dwarfs anything in the entire galaxy, their power is so immense, they have huge fleets of ships, you cant just go shoot them with guns, you have to be cunning, they have amazing spacecraft and supergate special effects in space, the asgard and the goauld cant even defeat them that easily and the ori could simply wave their hand and shove wraiths out of their way or wish a disease on them, and wipe all of them out. Now when you watch Stargate you are in suspense again! it’s no “oh here goes another show where they defeat a goauld” anymore. Now you are worried!

The ori made the show thrilling again! I love the goauld as an enemy too with their interesting egyptian mythology but THE ORI UNQUESTIONABLY ROCK!

THE EPISODES WITH THE ORI ARE SOME OF THE BEST EVER. THE ORI ARE SO MUCH DEEPER.

THE ORI GO INTO THE POWER OF THE MIND AND INVOLVE WIDE-REACHING PHILOSOPHICAL IMPLICATIONS THAT REALLY MAKE YOU THINK! (OF COURSE THAT WILL BE LOST ON MORE SUPERFICIAL VIEWERS OR TEENIE WRESTLING FANS THAT KNOW NOTHING OF PHILOSOPHY PLATO OR ST THOMAS AQUINAS, OR THE IMPACT ON HISTORY CAUSED BY THE BELIEVERS OF VARIOUS DEISTIC SCRIPTURES OR HOW NAZI PROPAGANDISTS INFLUENCED THE ENTIRE WORLD, AND ONLY GET IMPRESSED WITH SOME GUY IN A HOCKEY MASK THAT GOT 10 MOVIES MADE OUT OF HIM.)

MUCH MORE FEARSOME IS AN ENEMY LIKE THE ORI THAT CAN PERSUADE, CONVERT FRIENDS AGAINST YOU, FIGHTS WITH NOT ONLY WEAPONS, FIRE, FORCES OF THE MIND, IMMENSE SPACESHIPS, BUT ALSO FIGHTS WITH DOCTRINES, PESTILENCE AND DISEASE, AND WEAPONS OF PERSUASION AND IMPLANTING IDEOLOGY AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND HAS THE POWER TO REACH ACROSS NOT ONLY A FEW METERS, BUT HAS A FORCE THAT CAN AFFECT ENTIRE CITIES, PLANETS, AND CAN REACH ACROSS THE ENTIRE GALAXY IS SO MUCH MORE DETAILED AND WELL THOUGHT OUT THAN SO MANY OTHER MINDLESS ENEMIES LIKE SOME CHAINSAW MASSACRE GUY OR THE SILLY CHEAP FX IN SHOWS SUCH AS SCIFI CHANNELS SATURDAY MOVIES THAT THEY MAKE TREATING EVERYONE IN THE VIEWING AUDIENCE LIKE THEY ARE TWITS AND KEEP SHOWING US MOVIES WITH SOME CORNY FISH IN A POND MURDERING TEENAGERS RIDING IN A CANOE OR SOMETHING.

I CANT WAIT TIL THE NEW MOVIES! AND I LIKE BOTH THE GOAULD AND THE ORI, AND THE ORI ARE SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL AND INVINCIBLE THAT THEY MAKE AN AMAZING ENEMY THAT RAISES THE SHOW TO AN EVEN HIGHER LEVEL OF SOPHISTICATION AND IS INCREDIBLY SUSPENSEFUL TO WATCH!

the Ori in Stargate sg1 are so much more awesome than any other enemy. Other progams on Sci Fi Channel are inferior and have enemies like some poorly animated fighting crappy snake or some hokey Fish or dumb big bloated fake crocodile or something. People watch that, and the Ori are so much better than that dumb scifi channel crap.
