Director Lowell Dean’s 13 Eerie Pits Forensic Undergrads Against Felonious Zombies

Traveling to a remote island that was once used for illegal biological testing is never a good idea. I don’t care how prepared you think you are — chances are you’re going to die. Director Lowell Dean’s “13 Eerie”, a film which traverses well-worn territory, looks pretty insane, and the potential for over-the-top zombie carnage seems pretty high. Unless, of course, I’ve completely misread the trailer embedded below, in which case I apologize for all of this hyperbole.

Let’s move on. Here’s a synopsis:

Six ambitious forensic undergrads are pitted against one another on a scientific expedition to a remote island, vying to win an esteemed trainee position with the FBI. Unbeknownst to them, the site was formerly used as an illegal biological testing ground for life-term criminals who were then left for dead. The arrival of the students disturbs the resting place,
unleashing a pack of zombie criminal convicts who systematically hunt them down, one by one.

There’s a longer trailer making the rounds, but, honestly, it’s not that great. Instead, watch the shorter one. That’s the version you’ll find embedded below. “13 Eerie” stars Katharine Isabelle, Brendan Fehr, Nick Moran, and Brendan Fletcher.
