Although I hate spiders with an undying passion, I’m strangely drawn to monster movies which feature the creatures in all their disturbing glory. That said, “The Gate” director Tibor Takac’s “Spiders 3D” might be too much for me to handle. Even if the spiders look terrible, seeing something with eight legs flying towards my face would be too horrifying for words.
To get people talking about this three-dimensional nightmare, a full trailer and a brand new poster have been unleashed upon the interwebs. Even that word kind of creeps me out.
Here’s what the film is all about:
Following a crash of an old Soviet space station in New York City’s subway tunnel, a new species of poisonous spiders is discovered. Inadvertently the spiders mutate to gigantic proportions and wreak havoc on the entire city.
“Spiders 3D,” which stars William Hope, Patrick Muldoon, Jon Mack, and Christa Campbell, will be available in both 2D and 3D versions when the Blu-ray hits retail shelves on March 12. If you think you can handle the cheesy terror, then have a gander at the clip below.
