The trades are now reporting that Charles Logan (played by Gregory Itzin) will return for a multi-episode arc in the show’s upcoming eighth season, which will premiere with a two-night, four-hour bow on January 17 and 18.
As you’ll recall, the disgraced Prez was thought dead during Season 6, when his wife (in an awesome moment) shanked him in the neck. As it turns out, not so much; it was mentioned briefly that he survived his ordeal last year, but we never saw him. Season 8 of Fox’s aging action-adventure show “24” will find Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) appropriately retired and living the comfy life of a grandpa, but is inevitably pulled back into the fray when a visiting Middle Eastern diplomat is targeted for assassination in New York City. Jack will re-team with Annie Wersching from last season and fellow “24” vet Mary Lynn Rajskub to save the day. Along for the ride will be noobs Katee Sackhoff, Mykelti Williamson and Freddie Prinze Jr. Yes, Freddie Prinze Jr.
