There have been a lot of speculation about Disney, post-Lucasfilm acquisition, expanding the “Star Wars” universe into other “Star Wars” movies that don’t necessary involve the upcoming new trilogy, the first of which will be directed by J.J. Abrams.

Yesterday we heard a rumor that Yoda was going to get his own movie. Of course, that’s dependent on there actually being stand-alone “Star Wars” movies. Turns out, yup, Disney will be doing exactly just that.

Talking to CNBC, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed as much, saying that they will be launching a series of stand-alone “Star Wars” movies that won’t impact the upcoming trilogy. He declined to say which characters will be involved, though:

So there you have it. Official confirmation.

Now where’s my Boba Fett movie? I’m told he actually survived that desert worm thing that ate him in “Return of the Jedi”…
