The cast for this film just keeps getting better and better if you ask me. Last we reported, Benjamin Walker, who’ll next be seen as good ol’ Honest Abe in “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”, was cast as one of the lead roles in Alex Proyas’ “Paradise Lost” as the archangel Michael.

Now on the update front, Djimon Hounsou from 2006′s “Blood Diamond” has been cast in the film as Abdiel, the angel of death.

Based on the 17th century poem by John Milton, the story revolves around the epic war in heaven between archangels Lucifer (Bradley Cooper) and Michael (Walker), including the latter’s role in Adam and Eve’s fall from grace.

Production is set to begin sometime in January 2012 in Sydney, Australia.

This film has been shaping up nicely. And in Proyas’ hands, I’m sure it’s gonna be EPIC. I’m hoping for more THE CROW & DARK CITY and less I, ROBOT.
