Dolph vs. Conan? Could Happen.
Command Performance (2009) Movie, Conan the Barbarian (Remake, 2010) Movie — By Nix on November 9, 2009
While doing the promo rounds for the DVD release of his “Die hard at a concert” movie “Command Performance” (a film that he wrote, directed, stars, and plays drums in — indeed, no stuntmen were harmed in the making of those drum solos), Dolph Lundgren told MTV that he recently met with the producers of the upcoming “Conan” remake.
According to Dolph, he’s talked to the producer about joining the Marcus Nispel-directed movie, but it’s way too early and casting is still ongoing. They haven’t even chosen their Conan yet, which apparently they’re going the unknown route on that one. (More on the characters still to be cast here.)
Of course, just because the lead is an unknown, that doesn’t mean the villains have to be. Dolph, with his physicality, would be good for any number of roles, including the lead villain Khalar Singh to any of Singh’s notable henchmen, of which there will be plenty in the movie. Or hey, they could make him Conan’s dad, a former mercenary who gets cut down by bad guy Khalar Singh early in the movie, sending Conan on his quest for vengeance.
In the meantime, you’ll be able to catch Dolph in “The Expendables”, where he has some pretty awesome fights with Jet Li, and of course, get “Command Performance” on DVD.

Dolph in a Conan flick should be the main villain. He’d be soooo good!
