You can add former “Scrubs” star Donald Faison (he was also in 2010’s sci-fi alien invasion flick “Skyline”, though chances are you didn’t see that movie — who did?) to the cast of “Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall”. (That’s the official title now, I believe, similar to the comic book title. Hey, beats the plain ol “Kick-Ass 2″, I guess.)
Faison, who spent a huge part of his career on the hospital comedy “Scrubs”, will play Doctor Gravity in the comic book sequel. Doctor Gravity is described as “a copy writer by day who dresses up as a superhero by night and wants to start a hero group called Justice Forever”. In the “Kick-Ass” comic book universe, Justice Forever is a superhero team that was inspired by Kick-Ass.
Faison will join Aaron Johnson and Chloe Moretz, reprising their roles as Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl, respectively, from the first movie. Christopher Mintz-Plasse is also reprising Red Mist, with John Leguizamo recently added as Javier, Red Mist’s new bodyguard and protector.
Matthew Vaughn, the first movie’s director, will stay on as producer, with Jeff Wadlow taking over directing duties the second time ’round. Wadlow also wrote the script.
