I liked this movie a lot more than this reviewer did. Personally, I think Steven Seagal spent his money well here. I love this movie primarily for its cinematography and its brilliant sense of colour. This movie is just beautiful to watch with no dialogue or subtitles. As far as plot logic and character development go, this had about as much as you could expect from the genre. Dumb? This is action cinema, folks. I loved the individual performances. I liked the atmosphere of murky menace. There are even scenes of surprising emotional depth for a thriller. I got a huge kick out of the sight of the old cop jogging and smoking a cigar at the same time. And I really dug the final scene with all the cops blasting away at the carnie-like shooting gallery as though they were at the OK Corral. What can I say? I liked it. I beg to differ, folks...Greg Cameron, Surrey, B.C., Canada
