Dreamworks and Transformers Guys Eyeing James Farr’s Xombie

Comic Book Movie News, Horror Movie News, Xombie Movie — By Nix on September 22, 2009

Wow, zombies sure are popular, huh? Who knew being undead would ever become a trendy thing in Hollywood. The latest resurrected popular kid might be Dirge, a zombie cop name “Xombie” and the star of a comic book that’s based on an online comic strip by James Farr. According to THR, Dreamworks and “Transformers” and “Star Trek” guys Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are currently in negotiations to bring Farr’s “Xombie” to the big screen.

So what’s it all about? Farr’s official site explains it thusly:

Dirge is an undead man with a mind of his own, who struggles to find the meaning of unlife – all the while fighting to protect human lives from evil zombies!

Good zombie cops battling evil zombies. Now I’ve seen everything.

What’s next, zombies based on a Jane Austen novel? Don’t be ridiculous.

Zombies + monkeys = zombie monkeys. Makes sense.

Zombies + monkeys = zombie monkeys. Makes sense.
