Taking a cue from his buddy Vin Diesel, who was Facebooking and hinting at his meeting with Marvel for a role long before he was officially announced as the voice of Groot in James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has taken to Twitter to tease an upcoming team-up with D.C. and their movie studio partners at Warner Bros.
The “Fast and Furious” star recently wrote this on his Twitter on New Years Eve:

Of course, what that meeting was about could be a number of things. Given his bulk, the Rock has been linked to any number of D.C./Warner comic book movies, including “Lobo”, which he was linked to as far back as 2012, though it doesn’t appear as if anything has come from that in terms of development. (Probably for the best. The idea of a “Lobo” movie just seems … weird.)
But given that Warner is currently putting all their comic book movie universe eggs in Zack Snyder’s “Batman vs. Superman,” could the Rock end up playing a role there? Maybe Doomsday? Or a very “out of the box” Lex Luthor? Why the hell not. He’d certainly be more intimidating than Gene Hackman or Kevin Spacey, bald or not.
If it isn’t Lobo or anything in “Batman vs. Superman,” what would you like to see Johnson tackle from the D.C. library?
