Dylan Dog: Dead of Night Trailer Howls Online

Kevin Munroe’s “Dylan Dog: Dead of Night” has surfaced with a trailer over at YouTube. It showed up at the film’s Facebook page for a bit, but then disappeared. No idea why, maybe they’re saving it for a rainy day. In any case, you can check out the full-length trailer below.

Looks okay, though nothing too original. I always thought Brandon Routh got a raw deal post-“Superman Returns”, so here’s hoping this is a return to A-list work for him, but that’ll probably depend on whether “Dylan Dog” finds its way into decent theatrical screenings in the States or go direct-to-DVD.

Dylan Dog is the world’s only paranormal investigator. He hardly moved to New Olreans to escape a life made of nightmares. However, nightmares will find him again. A missing artifact, a beautiful heiress and a brutal murder conspire to drag him back into the dark world of the undead… Have you ever wondered if the person next to you was really part of your world?

Starring Brandon Routh, Sam Huntington, Peter Stormare, Anita Briem, Taye Diggs, Brian Steele, Kurt Angle and directed by Kevin Munroe.

Dylan and his dogs come out to play sometime in 2010. Probably.

I thought Routh was the best thing about “Superman Returns,” so much so that while watching the trailer I kept hearing Superman. But this doesn’t look horrible. Kind of a lower budget version of “Constantine” with a more fun protagonist. Hope this does okay for him.

Routh was the worst Superman ever. Probably because he was the worst actor to take on the role. From his small role in Scott Pilgrim, I thought he might have grown as an actor. But watching the trailer proves he still can’t act at all.
