Dylan Dog Finally UnEarths a U.S. Trailer for Domestic Consumption

Kevin Munroe’s “Dylan Dog” has finally arrived Stateside with a U.S. trailer that has, you know, English and such, and you can actually understand it! Unless, of course, you don’t speak English, in which case, um, too bad? Mind you, not that actually being able to understand the trailer makes it any more digestible. I wish I could say it’s been worth the wait, but alas, not so much.

DYLAN DOG: DEAD OF NIGHT is a new horror/comedy film based on one of the world’s most popular comics (60 million copies worldwide). Brandon Routh stars as Dylan Dog, world famous private investigator specializing in affairs of the undead. His PI business card reads “No Pulse? No Problem.” Armed with an edgy wit and carrying an arsenal of silver and wood-tipped bullets, Dylan must track down a dangerous artifact before a war ensues between his werewolf, vampire and zombie clients living undercover in the monster infested backstreets of New Orleans.

Starring Brandon Routh, Peter Stormare, Sam Huntington, Taye Diggs, Anita Briem, Kurt Angle, Courtney J. Clark and directed by Kevin Munroe.

Revealing the dead of night April 29, 2011.

It’s funny that actors such as Routh and Chris Evans (and to a lesser extent, Ryan Reynolds) are making a cottage industry of just doing comic book movies. Not sure what that means for the movie industry with this type of saturation but with that being said, I am a fan of the Italian series (translated through Dark Horse) and am looking forward to this flick. I just wished that Dog’s butler wasn’t changed from what he was in the series (probably has something to do with image licensing).

Groucho Marx’s family didn’t gave clearance for his clone to appear in the movie. 7th of April in Serbian theaters. Will let you know if it’s good. Probably awful.
