Early Draft of Dragonball Script Leaked?

By Nix | June 9, 2008 (12:53 pm)

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much hatred for a movie that hasn’t even been released yet. I mean, damn, I’ve hated a lot of things Hollywood has done myself, but wow, the sheer amount of negative reaction to just the idea of a Dragonball movie by Hollywood left on the site’s comments section is pretty astounding. And we’re not even a diehard Dragonball site! Can you imagine the mud and crap that is being flung around on actual Dragonball movie sites and forums? Holy God. Well guess what, here’s something that should add fuel to the fire — a copy of the “Dragonball” script has made its way online.

This is apparently (and I must emphasis apparently) an earlier draft of “Dragonball” by screenwriter Ben Ramsey. If this is in fact an actual script for the movie, it’s an early draft, and has probably gone through many changes at the hands of the director, James Wong.

For those interested in reading Ramsay’s script, you can do so by downloading it here. POSSIBLE SPOILERS. Via dbthemovie.

A young boy named Goku seeks out upon his grandfather’s dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world.

Justin Chatwin stars as Goku, James Marsters as Lord Piccolo, Emmy Rossum as Bulma, Chow Yun-Fat as Master Roshi, Jamie Chung as Chi Chi, and Joon Park as Yamcha. James Wong writes and directs.

holy crap. I’ve read the first 20 pages so far and it is horrable! Don’t really care it’s an early draft. This is like everything a fan would fear it would be.

ya know, I’m really starting to think that this script is a fake. It’s writen so damn poorly. Spelling errors, like it’s really amaturish. I mean, I’m not trying to be one of those fanboys saying “oh I can write a better script” but man, this is writen really poorly.

this is not a real script. studios keep this type of shyt confidential! wait til the movie comes out and then judge it!

Priverson on June 12, 2008

Right now I’ll judge the authenticity of this script with skepticism.

Anyways, all this negativity simply shows that Fox has just chose to mess around with the wrong story.

Anyone miss me? I’ve been enjoying my summer with my friends instead of sitting in front of my computer but I check this site late at night now. Anyway, like Priverson said I don’t like them messing around with Dragon Ball anymore than you guys do and Funimation should handle this but it’s not my problem.

If you ask me,it totally looks to be fake. There are always out of the blue leaks about movies and most of the time they are just rip offs made by people who dont have lives. How is anyone supposed to know if this script is even real,Just beacause some random person says it is? I dont think so!
