Eight Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes for Benny Chan’s Shaolin

This is easily the best news I’ve heard all week. Since Benny Chan’s martial arts epic “Shaolin” is rapidly approaching its release date in China — no word as to when, precisely, the film will assault the rest of the globe — the folks over at Golden Village have posted eight snazzy behind-the-scenes featurettes for you to enjoy. Each video runs at approximately two minutes, and none of them have English subtitles, but it’s still pretty cool to see what goes down on the other side of the camera. Anyone who has been following this flick as closely as I have should, in theory, be pumped about checking them out. If not, that’s okay, too. Sometimes the martial arts geek living under my skin gets a little too excited about these things.

“Shaolin”, which stars Andy Lau, Nicolas Tse, Fan Bing Bing, Wu Jing, Xiong Xin Xin, Xing Yu and Jackie Chan, is scheduled to hit theaters on January 27th. Thanks to Twitch for the heads up.
