After finding his Jack the Giant Killer in Nicholas Hoult, his villain in Stanley Tucci, and male mentor in Ewan McGregor, Bryan Singer has now added British actress Eleanor Tomlinson as Jack’s Princess-in-need-of-rescuing.
18-year old Tomlinson will play the human Princess who is abducted by Giants, spurring hero farm boy Jack to go rescue her. The relatively unknown actress beat out a trio of actresses previously believed to have the inside track on the role, including Adelaide Kane, Lily Collins, and Juno Temple. Tomlinson has been in “Alice in Wonderland”, where she auditioned for the lead but lost out to Mia Wasikowska.
Shooting on Singer’s “Jack the Giant Killer” is expected to commence later this month in London.
