Eli Roth Set to Produce Jon Watts’ Horror Flick Clown

How’s this for a stroke of luck: After seeing Jon Watts’ impressive fake trailer for the horror flick “Clown” — which, according to the clip, is directed by none other than Eli Roth — the mastermind behind the “Hostel” franchise has decided to produce the feature-length version of the nonexistent film. The film tells the sensitive story of a father who, after his son’s birthday entertainment fails to show, dons a clown outfit for the amusement of his offspring. Unfortunately for the aforementioned parent, the suit doesn’t want to come off. To complicate matters further, the colorful costume is slowly transforming the poor bastard into an unspeakably evil and potentially demonic monstrosity. No word yet when “Clown” will surface, but you can expect plenty of coverage from yours truly when it does.

In the meantime, check out the preview for “Clown”. It’s good stuff.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.

If the full length film is anywhere near as good as this trailer we’ll be in for quite a ride! I can’t wait to see it.
