As much as I like Batman (he is essentially the only readable character in the entire D.C. stable to me), I’d like to see D.C. and Warner pick someone out of the Bat-verse and give them their own original direct-to-DVD animated movie. How about Catwoman as voiced by Eliza Dushku? One can only hope.

In the meantime, Selina Kyle/Catwoman by way of Dushku will be making her catty appearance in “Batman: Year One”, due out on DVD and Blu-ray on the 18th. Until then, here is the former “Dollhouse”, “Buffy”, and “Tru Calling” star talking about playing the cat burglar. Plus, some new images (above).

If you’re in New York Comic Con this weekend, you can catch the full 15-minute Catwoman short during the “Batman: Year One” panel taking place from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the IGN Theater.

“Batman: Year One” also stars Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon, Ben McKenzie as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Katee Sackhoff.
