Is Elizabeth Banks really capable of playing an evil stepmother? Hey, why not, if I can buy Britney Spears as a wannabe pop singer on the road to discovery in “Crossroads”, I can pretty much buy anything. MTV has a clip featuring Elizabeth Banks, playing the evil stepmother in question, who hints at using a pearl necklace as a weapon to strangle her stepdaughter. I personally think the stepdaughter has it coming. What’s she doing, snooping around her hot stepmom’s fabricated past? The gall!

Anna Rydell returns home to her sister (and best friend) Alex after a stint in a mental hospital, though her recovery is jeopardized thanks to her cruel stepmother, aloof father, and the presence of a ghost in their home.
