Emilie De Ravin Joins Michael Mann’s Public Enemies

I’m always a little surprised when movie productions continue to cast actors even after a film has started shooting. You would expect that the better way to do things would be to hire all the actors, and THEN start shooting. But hey, what do I know, I’m typing this while sitting at my computer in my underwear. Anyhoo. Lost’s Emilie De Ravin has finally gotten off the island and joined the cast of Michael Mann’s period gangster movie “Public Enemies.”
Variety reports:
Emilie De Ravin (“Lost”) has been cast in a supporting role in Michael Mann’s “Public Enemies,” starring Johnny Depp. She’ll next be seen in “The Perfect Game” and “Ball Don’t Lie,” a selection in this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
No word on what role she’ll play, but considering that Emilie De Ravin (pictured, below) has that innocent look about her, I’m guessing an innocent farm girl? Or an innocent city girl? Either/or. It would be cool if she turned out to be a Bonnie (of Bonnie and Clyde fame) girl, but that would be a stretch.
