Former “Harry Potter” gal Emma Watson is currently in talks to join the cast of Darren Aronofsky’s “Noah”, his epic re-telling of the Bible’s most famous builder, set to be played by Russell Crowe, with Jennifer Connelly in the running to play his wife.
If Watson ends up signing on, she’ll play Ila, “a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah’s son, Shem.”
Shem will be played by the previously cast Douglas Booth, who joined the cast along with fellow young turk Logan Lerman, who will be playing Noah’s other son, Ham. (Shem and Ham? Noah has a sense of humor, apparently.)
Paramount and New Regency are paying the bills for “Noah”, due out in 2014.
