Even More Avengers Footage From a New Japanese Trailer

Robert Downey Jr in The Avengers (2012) Movie Image

You gotta love it when studios go through the effort to cut a foreign trailer that’s vastly different from the ones they shell out to their domestic audiences. Usually studios are lazy and just dub the same trailer over with different languages for different countries. Marvel has done one better with “The Avengers”. While the last trailer we got was admittedly pretty epic, the Japanese got one that might challenge it for coolness. Besides an epic shot of the SHIELD helicarrier emerging out of the ocean, you also get a couple of quick shots of a familiar face, more snaps of the film’s alien invaders, and Thor doing battle with a familiar foe. Check it out, check it outers.

When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgard, and directed by Joss Whedon.

Avenging May 4, 2012.

Cool Stories From Zergnet

They even redid signature title card, cool.

Also, Loki needs to kick ass in a suit more often.
And maybe also become a woman like in the comics. But then no suit.

Nice! Looking good! I just wish it was all in english so I could understand. Im still curious about the mysterious aliens. I still have no idea who they are..

  • NCounter

Oh Man! The Hellicarrier rising – FANTASTIC!!! Now that is one thing i wanna see full when the movie’s out.

  • Lexavi80

    A-W-E-S-O-M-E-!!!!

I will see no more footage. Otherwise it’ll ruin the movie for me.

At the 1:02 mark you can see the aliens in a suit of armor. Looks like slim ironmans.

  • Juggernaut

The hellicarrier ascending is epic! Loved the brief scene of Thor vs. Loki on the terrace. Thor tossing the car was pretty bad ass too! Can’t wait!!! Also, the first few times that I watched this it looked like Bucky Barnes next to Pepper Potts on the jet.

what I find to be extra awesome is that this movie is clearly going to eclipse the Dark Knight Rises

    • Lexavi80

Avengers and DKR are completely different movies.

Remember when Ironman came out? It amazed everyone and people thought TDK was doomed. When dark Knight came out, it passed the billion dollar mark.

Avenger is going to be amazing, but we can’t underestimate Chris Nola’s work. I’M EXCITED FOR BOTH!!!

This is just a thought but could they be the kree? they kind of look like them from glances.

    • TotesMagotes

I’m thinkin it’s gonna be Thanos’s army. They look purpleish like him, and it was confirmed that it’s not Skrulls or Kree. In a new Lego set coming out that’s based off The Avengers movie, Captain america fights foot soldiers and “The General”, and the minifigure is not Loki. Plus if it was Thanos then that would set up stories for Avengers sequels and he heroes’ standalone film sequels.

      • W.A.S

Good point and the Infinity Gauntlet was in Thor so that would make since.

    • 789789

I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • M@rvel

Anyone notice at 1:10 banner is looking in the mirror but his reflection is Tony Stark talking….???

    • W.A.S

its not a mirror. it looks like some kind of monitor, probably to read banners condition or something of that sort.
