Even More Images from An Empress and the Warriors

Written by Nix | February 19th, 2008 | 0 Comments |

If the new Chinese martial arts epic “An Empress and the Warriors” (seriously, who came up with this title?) doesn’t feature massive battle scenes (and often), or weird, “300″-esque roving bands of assassins, then I’m going to be sorely disappointed, because that’s what these new batches of “Empress” images promise, and dagnabbit, I want my weird “300″-esque roving bands of assassins!

Kelly Chen, Leon Lai, and Donnie Yen stars as the empress and the warriors, respectively. Although the empress seems to be a very capable warrior herself, if these images are any indication.

Unlike other Chinese epics, like John Woo’s “The Battle of Red Cliff” or Maggie Q. and Andy Lau’s “Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon”, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot written about “An Empress and the Warriors” outside of China. Even these images are from the Chinese version of Yahoo! Movies.
