And oh yeah, that Andrew Garfield guy is in these new batch of set photos, too. I guess he’s important to the movie or sumthin’.

From the Daily Mail comes your first look at Sheen as Uncle Ben:

From someone name J Anthony Hall who snapped these pics in the streets (via Comingsoon), comes our first look at Rhys Ifans as the future Lizard (CGI’ed missing right hand and all…)

Nothing too “Amazing”, (see what I did there?!) about these photos.

i really dont know why they decided to reboot — and he looks too tall for spidey – but hey if your not getting any money for the first three from sony and your disney/marvel and you want your new franchise money then i guess you reboot — im sure it will be action entertaining

Good point. When I think Spidey, I always think of him as the skinny, little guy in the spider costume making quips while hanging around all these huge, hulking superheroes. I think that was part of his charm.

Agreed, though height isn’t really a factor when Spidey is usually crouched or hanging or sticking to a wall. Nightcrawler looks short, but he’s always hunched too. As long as he’s not super built, and he’s quippy (which the Raimi version wasn’t nearly enough for me) I should be good.

He’s stringy and wiry! I think that Garfield’s body type is a good fit. In a lot of the illustrations he’s long and lean. I totally agree on this version utilizing his one liners and witty banter in the movie. Not to a cartoonish level but substantially more than Raimi’s films did.

lol, is the first time I see Rhys Ifans looking so… normal.
