Bryan Singer has added Ewan McGregor to his roster of giant killers in his upcoming epic “Jack the Giant Killer”, his big-budget take on the Jack and the Beanstalk story for New Line and Legendary.
McGregor will join Nicholas Hoult, who was previously cast as the titular Jack, a farm boy who goes on a quest to save a princess that has been taken by the giants. McGregor will be playing the leader of the king’s elite guards, who assists our young hero on his mission.
Also in the cast, Stanley Tucci as the king’s advisor, and the film’s villain, while Bill Nighy and John Kassir will play the two-headed leader of the giants.
No word yet on who will play the princess.
Shooting on the film commences in late March in London.
