Explosive Debut Trailer for the Navy SEALs Movie Act of Valor

I gotta admit, the fact that Relativity Media is selling “Act of Valor” pretty hard as “starring active duty Navy SEALs” had me a little bit worried. I mean, come on, the SEALs are a bunch of badass warfighters, that much isn’t in doubt. But actors, too? I dunno about that. Hopefully, though, the main actors will be, you know, actual actors, while the SEALs fill out the combat scenes. The good news is that this debut trailer actually looks pretty good, even if every now and then I expected Jon Cena to show up flexing his muscles and “playing Marine” onscreen.

When the rescue of a kidnapped CIA operative leads to the discovery of a deadly terrorist plot against the U.S., a team of SEALs is dispatched on a worldwide manhunt. As the valiant men of Bandito Platoon race to stop a coordinated attack that could kill and wound thousands of American civilians, they must balance their commitment to country, team and their families back home.

The cast includes Roselyn Sanchez, Nestor Serrano, Gonzalo Menendez, Jason Cottle, Ailsa Marshall, Alex Veadov, and Drea Castro. Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh helms the joint.

Things blow up good February 17, 2012.
