Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) makes his CW debut in next week’s “Arrow” episode, “The Scientist”. I would be a lot more jazzed about this ep if Barry Allen wasn’t a teenager, but whatever, it is what it is. Who knows, the kid might grow on me. They should probably call him Wally West, though. He just looks like a Wally West. Not so much a Barry Allen.
Anyhoo. Check out a 30-second spot for next week’s “The Scientist”, the first of a two-partner episode that will make up the show’s mid-season finale. Gee, I wonder if that particle accelerator they’ve been talking about on every single episode of the show’s second season will figure into how Barry becomes The Flash somehow…
A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he’s distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity takes a liking to Barry, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin asks Roy for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin’s friend is connected to Brother Bloo, and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured.
