Extended Red Band Trailer for The Dictator

Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator (2012) Movie Image

Not sure if you’re buying into Sacha Baron Cohen’s “The Dictator” yet? Well here’s an extended (three-minutes plus) Red Band Trailer to help you decide. It’s a lot of the same, with some new footage, and what appears to be a different version of the “scare the fat American tourists in the helicopter” scene. Lots of cussing and some sex jokes here and there. It still doesn’t look nearly as outrageous as I thought it would be. In fact, it looks downright tame, which is surprising.

Cohen stars as General Aladeen, one of those douchebaggy dictators with too much money and not enough sense. Things go awry for the good General when he comes to New York to make a speech at the United Nations, only to lose his beard and end up on the streets of New York. Tomfoolery and groping Anna Faris’ breasts ensue.

Also starring John C. Reilly (as a hilarious racist), Ben Kingsley, B.J. Novak, Kevin Corrigan, Megan Fox (as a hilarious prostitute), and J.B. Smoove.

The dictator demands you watch him May 11, 2012.
