Fast and the Furious 4 Set for Summer 2008?

Is “The Fast and the Furious 4″ closer to reality than originally suspected? Apparently so, according to car site Edmunds Inside Line, who cites sources close to the production of the three previous “Fast and the Furious” films as saying that part 4 is being scheduled for a Summer 2008 worldwide release. As of right now, the film is currently still listed as in production, with no cast or crew attached, and definitely no director, although personally I’d like to see Lucas Black return as Sean Boswell from the previous installment, “Tokyo Drift”. Like most of the “Furious” movies, “Drift” was dumb, stupid fun, but fun nonetheless.

However, it’s rumored that the next film will reunite many characters and actors from the first three including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson and Lucas Black. Obviously the story will once again center around automotive mayhem of the most intense sort, but the rumor is that this time most of the action will be set in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Mind you, not that bringing back any of the previous cast matters. The “Fast and the Furious” films have always been about the cars, not the guys driving them.

Hey everyone. Ive been reading up on this website left and right about the new fast and furious movie. Im not going to mention anything about the plot since its all over the place, this plot, that plot, they are all different. so im not going to get excited about a plot. The cars on the other hand, i hope they dont RICE out all the cars like in all the previous movies. no stickers, no huge body kits, no ugly wings, no neon lights, a real turner’s car, performance mods, nice rims ( 19’s and 20’s ), not chrome dubs either. true performance parts is what makes a tuner a tuner, thats the difference between a true tuner and a riced out ride. The First Fast And The Furious’s cars were riced out, the 3rd were more realistic looking, dont get me wrong, the 350z’s were a little bit over done but not THAT bad looking. So hopefully this new movie will be authentic for the rides. for the characters, i hope they all come back. we’ll see how it goes.
