Finally! A Kick-Ass U.S. Trailer for Wanted

Not that long ago I posted a Russian trailer for the new Angelina Jolie movie “Wanted” and lamented the fact that, although I couldn’t understand a single thing being said in the trailer (it being in Russian and all), I still thought it was at least 100 times better than anything I’ve seen from its U.S. counterparts so far. Well buckle up, kiddos, because that’s now changed — here’s a brand spanking new U.S. trailer for “Wanted”, and it is goooooooood. Seriously, they should have been showing this thing in the first place.
And yes, more curving bullets than you can shake a stick at. I used to think it was kind of silly, but you know what? It’s growing on me. Curving bullets is just cool, man.
A young man finds out his long lost father is an assassin. And when his father is murdered, the son is recruited into his father’s old organization and trained by a man named Sloan to follow in his dad’s footsteps.
Starring James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie, Terence Stamp, Thomas Kretschmann, Common, Kristen Hager, Marc Warren, and David O’Hara, and directed by Timur Bekmambetov making his Hollywood debut.
The curving starts June 27, 2008.

Yeah, the trailer for Wanted was pretty cool. At first I had no interest in seeing this movie (it just looked way too noisy and silly), but since Timor Bekmambetov is directing, I might give it a shot. Somehow he makes ridiculousness seem plausible. Hopefully that’s the case here, as it was with Night Watch & Day Watch.
