“Touch”, in which Kiefer Sutherland plays the Nicolas Cage character from Alex Proyas’ 2009 movie “Knowing”. Only, you know, less twitchy. Or at least that’s what ran through my mind while I was watching this 3-minute first look preview for the former CTU badass’s new show “Touch”. Take a gander at it below, won’t you?
The show co-stars David Mazouz as Sutherland’s son, a teen who hasn’t spoken a single word, but we do hear him in voiceover as the preview begins. Kinda odd, that. The beautiful Gugu Mbatha-Raw from the canceled “Undercovers” plays a social worker and, I suspect, a love interest for Sutherland’s conveniently single dad character. Danny Glover also shows up as a reclusive therapist type who knows stuff.
“Touch”, which will be premiering on FOX soon, is from “Heroes” creator Tim Kring, but, uh, don’t hold that against it? “I am Legend’s” Francis Lawrence directs the pilot, 3 minutes of which you can see for yourself below.
I dunno if I like seeing Jack Bauer get beaten up and not fighting back. Dammit!
