As promised last week, Optimum Releasing has finally released the first full trailer for Ben Wheatley’s hitman thriller “Kill List”. The film made quite a splash at SXSW earlier this year and has apparently been killing on the festival circuit, and it’s been garnering pretty heavy praise from reviewers. So if you’ve wondered what it’s really about, this trailer should give you a lot more insight. Are there supernatural shenanigans afoot here? Possibly…

Eight months after a disastrous job in Kiev left him physically and mentally scarred, ex- soldier turned contract killer, Jay, is pressured by his partner, Gal, into taking a new assignment. As they descend into the dark and disturbing world of the contract, Jay begins to unravel once again – his fear and paranoia sending him deep into the heart of darkness.

Starring Neil Maskell, MyAnna Buring, Harry Simpson, Michael Smiley and directed by Ben Wheatley.

No word on a released date in the States yet, but the UK folks get it September 2nd.

Looking forward to seeing this one. On a side note, but still in the assassin line, would love to see a sequel to Hanna. Maybe continuing to elude capture from the US government? Possibly older and hotter?
