Sony, through Apple, actually released the third part of their highly ambitious three-part teaser trailer preview for today’s trailer debut of Rian Johnson’s “Looper” yesterday, but, uh, I was too distracted to notice. But even if I wasn’t distracted, I probably wouldn’t have posted it anyway. Fact is, Sony thinking that there are three days worth of dragging out the teaser for the “Looper” trailer is a tad silly. What exactly does Sony think they have here, Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus”? Talk about overestimating your product. I may be personally anticipating this movie, but even I know it doesn’t deserve a drawn out three-day preview gimmick. In any case, here’s the full trailer for “Looper”. Thankfully, it looks like a decent good time, though not deserving of self-generating “Prometheus”-level hype. Enjoy.

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.

Starring Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Noah Segan, Piper Perabo, Jeff Daniels, and directed by Rian Johnson.

Appearing in theaters in our time September 28, 2012.

Looks far more actioney than I expected, but I’m wondering how well JGL’s make-up will work in the final product. I remember when Johnson was on slashfilm’s podcast last year and mentioned he had gotten some input from Shane “Primer” Carruth during the writing stage, so really really curious about the movie’s timetravel mechanics and rules

    JGL’s eyebrows are hilarious.
There’ll be no way i can take this movie seriously with Groucho Marx on the screen.

I think it looks great, although I’m not crazy about the music they used for this trailer.

I agree that they need to improve the make-up in JGL’s face.

Other than that, I’ll be lining up for this movie.

Ps: No movie should have teaser for teasers.
