Color me surprised. I didn’t know James Wong’s “Dragonball” live-action movie was already shooting. Well it is, down south in Mexico City, where these pictures of star Justin Chatwin were snapped on the set. Chatwin will be playing the oddly named Goku, the movie’s hero. Nice car, Goku.
A young boy named Goku seeks out upon his grandfather’s dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world.

i dont know what everyones worried about, i think its still gonna be fkn awesome,it is dragonball thats all it needs to be to be good. nothing will ruin it. (hopefully) =/
Damn i’ve been waitin 4 dis movie 4ever……hope they dont kill it wit piccolo….On tha real though i think dis movies gonna B waaaack….but im still gonna go see it..2 add to its box office gross…ALL real fans would the same….

I think they can pull it off. They have to make it as realistic as possible. If he had they same hair in the anime’ it would look gay. Serious, it will be a hit they cant make it exactly like the anime, it will be stupid.
Alright, seriously you guys we all know that under all that green Picollo is really black. No questions. No white man can be that ballin… ever. (see bojack unbound (sub), Lord Slug (eng), and Frieza battle 2nd form). The role requires some one truly thug, and raw… some one like DMX. Word.
Dude, is this Goku? you got to be kidding me!!!! maybe Goku when he was very sick!!!! He is to skinny! how can be Goku? and what about the hair? is that Goku’s hair? they have destroyed our beloved character!!! He is skinny…even when he was a boy goku had a lot of muscles on him! this guy looks like a character from The Lord Of The Rings or something. And what about the hair? if they wont make it the same like in the series it will look stupid, in fact it will not look like DB,will be just like any other sci-fi movie! but what about Dbz movie? with supersayans and all of those things? does anyone know about this? Shouldn’t they do this instead of DB? Dbz is a lot more exciting in my opinion! (sorry for my english)
what the fck is up with this movie. it keeps getting worse and worser. They had to pick a japanese guy for goku. But now they have this skinny looking loser who will kill the power of dragonball for good…
Why get worked up about a film which isn’t out yes. theres so much work still to be done. relax until it comes out.
What everyone needs to realize is that this is young Goku not SS goku. Even when he fights Raditz in the anime hes not ripped out. Im sure as the series of movies go on, Chatwin will be required to do the wrok necessary to pull of the part if not scrap him. this is a modernized look at DBZ but i will say i hope they dont CGI Chatwin’s Hair cuzz that would look really terrible. Bottom line though i like chatwin as goku but in these set pics that does not shout out goku to me, and as the face of this movie franchise thats really a let down.
