Here’s your first look at Mark Wahlberg, Russell Crowe, and Catherine Zeta Jones in Allen Hughes’ political thriller “Broken City”. Hughes, one half of the Hughes brothers, is directing from a script by Brian Tucker, with the film scheduled to bow in January of next year.
In the film, Wahlberg plays Billy Taggart, an ex-cop trailing the wife of New York City’s mayor (Crowe), and who finds himself immersed in a larger scandal that could cost him everything. Hell, if it didn’t threaten to cost him more than his socks, it wouldn’t be much of a movie, now, would it? But this is Marky Mark, so I’m sure he’ll eventually fight back and bust heads. No one plays put-upon badass better than Wahlberg.
“Broken City” also stars Barry Pepper, Kyle Chandler, Justin Chambers, Natalie Martinez, Alona Tal, and James Ransone.
