Have no fear, Nicolas Cage is here! To, you know, save you! Though how much cooler would Scott Walker’s “The Frozen Ground” be if Cage was playing the serial killer instead of the State Trooper chasing the serial killer? I mean, if you’ve seen Cage onscreen, you know this guy has all the ticks and eccentricity to play a pretty entertaining mass murderer. Alas, that’s not the case here, and it appears Cage is playing his role straight. Boo!

Anyways, here is a batch of images from Cage and John Cusack’s “The Frozen Ground”, a “based on a true story” movie about a serial killer (Cusack) and the State Trooper chasing him. Vanessa Hudgens co-stars as a teen who escapes Cusack’s clutches and leads Cage back to the killer.

Also starring Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, Radha Mitchell, Dean Norris, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Ryan O’Nan, Katherine LaNasa, Kevin Dunn, and Gia Mantegna.

    It looks like Nicholas Cage, after being beaten out for the title role in Clint Eastwood’s “J. Edgar” by Leonardo DiCaprio, wandered onto the next set over, still in full costume, and said, “what’re you shooting here? Serial killer movie? Sounds cool, I’m in.”
