First Images from the Dragonball Movie Trailer
Well kids, I guess you don’t have to wait for the “Dragonball” movie trailer to show in front of “Max Payne” after all. Well, you still have to wait to see the actual footage (you know, moving and such), but screenshots from the trailer have leaked online, and they look, well, let’s put it this way: if you weren’t fans of the movie in the first place, these images probably aren’t going to convince you to change your mind.
The original screenshots surfaced over at Nerdorama (a place for nerds, one presumes), but the site has been hit so hard with traffic it’s since gone down. I was, though, able to find these images over at the Dragonball Movie Blog.
The “Dragonball” trailer shows in front of Max Payne October 17, 2008, and opens wide April 3rd, 2009.

Still looks better than the 2 live action DB movies done in China. And yes there were 2 of them. The poorly dubbed one which I’m sure most people have seen and another one that looked like a 5th grade school play.
But the Chinese one and that other Korean one still looks Dragonball. This one doesn’t one bit.

I have to agree the characters don’t resemble anything like the anime. I would think they are gonna have to, SERIOUSLY, make up for that in the fight scenes as we all can agree whole heartedly is the most important thing! I mean the characters take away from the effect by a lot so I would think they would be smart to go hardcore on the fight scenes which will save this movie, although not completly….they better have us DB fans in awe to get even a tilt of approval cuz this movie is relying heavily on the DB fans who can make or break this movie…..better come with it Speilberg!

B-random: In the original DB, there was Evil King Piccolo. He then layed an egg before he died and that becomes the Piccolo most people know from DBZ. However character design-wise, they are pretty much the same. Same green skin and same design all around really.

i have never in my life watched a dragonball episode or movie or what have you. I am only interested in this movie BECAUSE Spike from Buffy is in it and Justin Chatwin is pretty cool too. I thought this movie looked like it was gonna suck because i have never been into this kind of style. But i have a very open mind and i will watch it nonetheless. Everyone is saying the movie sucks like they have seen it already. Give it a chance. you might be surprised. Thats what im gonna do. I dont really care that Picollo or whatever his name is isnt green, im more upset that Picollos actual character isnt a sexy tough guy with his shirt off most of the time. See how disappointed i am too? And im still gonna watch it.

Everyone keeps talking about how Picollo isn’t green, but there are a ton of things missing from this. For starters, where’s Goku’s tail? It’s a center plot point in almost the entire DB series. If they don’t have Goku turn into a giant ape in this, I will be pissed. This IS a movie about DB, not DBZ after all. The other most annoying fact is Goku is not a kid. That’s what made most of the fans like Goku’s character in the first place, because he was so naive and innocent. God this is a travesty to all DB fans.
i think in dragonball the original manga series..piccolo isnt very green until he wishes for youth then he turns green again..coz he was imprisoned for like 3000 years…so thts why dragonball z..the kinda sequel series..shows him green…i think

I guess because green is, in a psychological sense of color and meaning, a signal for fruitility, peace and nature. Whereas gray stands for boredome and misery. Piccolo is an awfully gray character, at first. Envyous and not peacefull at all. So, I think this entire project stinks.
