First Images from the Sci Fi Channel’s Flash Gordon

Written by Nix | June 20th, 2007 | 0 Comments |

I’m kind of excited about the upcoming “Flash Gordon” TV series on the Sci Fi Channel. I like science fiction in general, and it doesn’t appear as if the producers are going for the gritty, depressing vibe that “Battlestar Galactica” has excelled at in recent years. (I’m sorry, but I don’t want to feel like crap while watching escapist entertainment. So sue me.) And since I didn’t grow up with Flash Gordon, or read the comics, or really know all that much about it, this is going to be new territory for me, so I’m open for a good, entertaining sci-fi show.

“Flash Gordon” the new TV series doesn’t start until August, 2007, but the Sci Fi Channel (via their website Sci Fi Wire) is currently hosting a ton of images from the (one presumes) pilot episode. It looks very good. Or at least, it doesn’t look all that bad.

Eric Johnson stars as Flash Gordon, Gina Holden as reporter Dale Arden, John Ralston as Ming, and Karen Cliche as Baylin.
