While we still try to figure out if that poster of “Whiteout” someone sent me was legit or not, here are two legit images from the Kate Beckinsale thriller recently released by Warner Bros courtesy of the boys over at Comic Book Resources. Obviously they probably aren’t really shooting in the Antarctica, where the original comic book (and movie) is set, but I’ll be damn if Kate Beckinsale still looks way too gorgeous to be a cop.
“Whiteout” was originally released as a four issue limited series in 1998 by Oni Press. The story follows U.S. Marshall Carrie Stetko, based at McMurdo Station in Antarctica, as she investigates a murder that takes place there. The series received multiple Eisner Award nominations and the follow-up series, “Whiteout: Melt,” won the Eisner Award for Best Finite/Limited Series. A third volume of the series is expected to be released by Oni Press in late Spring/early Summer, 2008.
Based on the comics by Greg Rucka and Steve Lieber, and directed by Dominic Sena (“Swordfish”).
