First Lethal Look at Eva Green in 300: Rise of an Empire

300 - Rise of an Empire (2013) Movie Title

According to director Noam Murro, former Bond girl Eva Green plays Artemesia in the “300″ sequel, “300: Rise of an Empire”. The character is described as being the second-in-command of Xerxes and leader of his Navy fleet that launches an invasion of Greece. Artemesia, we’re told, is a “ruthless and conniving” leader with undeniable “sex appeal”.

As you can see from the pic below of Eva Green in “300: Rise of an Empire”, they weren’t exaggerating about that whole lethal sex appeal thing. The lady is indeed sex appeal-licious, and anyone with a sword (or two) is, yeah, pretty lethal if you ask me.

Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel “Xerxes” and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. “300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

“300: Rise of an Empire” also stars Rodrigo Santoro, Jack O’Connell, Sullivan Stapleton, Andrew Tiernan, Callan Mulvey, Andrew Pleavin, and Yigal Naor.

Battlin’ for the sea this August 2, 2013.

Definitely liking the feel of this so far. Glad that even though Snyder isn’t doing this they kept the look and tone.
